2023 ATTENDEE-ORGANIZED EVENTS

Below are some of the theme days and meet-ups that guests of Shambhala Music Festival have organized for the 24th Annual Festival. Please note these are unofficial events:

Day Onesie

When: Thursday, July 20

Where: Everywhere!

What: Wear your favourite onesie to celebrate the opening of our first two stages for the weekend, the AMP and the Living Room.

Fairy Picnic

When: Friday, July 21 at 12:00 PM

Where: The field near the Wishing Tree

What: This is not a planned-out event, just a chance for the mystical beings of Shambhala to gather for lunch! Come with your own ideas and lead activities if you feel so inclined. Dress up encouraged, but not required. Bring your own food.

Naruto Run for Freddy J

When: Friday, July 21 at 4:00-4:30 PM

Where: Entrance to the Fractal Forest

What: Run like Naruto for the opening of Fractal Forest / Freddy J’s set

The Great Bag Rummage of 2023

When: Friday, July 21 at 5:00 PM

Where: Right side of the AMP Stage

What: The Great Bag Rummage is back! Wear your craziest fit, bring a bag with weird stuff in it, Meet up, dance, talk REAL LOUD and pull weird things out of your bags.

Farm Fam Friday

When: Friday, July 21 at 6:00 PM

Where: At the Wishing Tree

What: Dress up like a farm animal!

10TH Annual Captain Thomas' Shamb Virgin Train Tour!

When: Friday, July 21 at 6:00 PM

Where: BASSCamp Art Gallery

What: A special guided tour for first-timers through Shambhala on AN IMAGINARY TRAIN, led by veteran Shambassador "Captain Thomas" and some extra special guests!

Slynk & Father Funk Fan Meet-Up

When: Friday, July 21 at 7:30 PM

Where: Fractal Forest Merch Booth

What: Come grab some fresh merch from Father Funk and Slynk! All merch comes with a free hug or high five.

Shambhala 2023 - Pizza Floaty Party

When: Saturday, July 22 at 11:00 AM

Where: Salmo River Beach

What: We will all join forces and create the BIGGEST PIZZA FLOATY PARTY EVER.

Chilli’s Birthday Party

When: Saturday, July 22 at 4:20 PM

Where: Fractal Forest

What: Join us at the Fractal Forest at 420 on the 22nd of July for the best party ever.

Sailor Scout Saturday

When: Saturday, July 22 at 6:00 PM

Where: At the Wishing Tree

What: Fighting evil by moonlight & winning love by daylight! All Sailor Moon Universe Characters/ gender benders and splices are encouraged! We usually meet up at 6 pm for fun stuff and photos at the Wishing Tree. This is of course an all-day event so don't be afraid to frolic in your cosplay!

ShambhaPride Parade

When: Sunday, July 23 at 11:00 AM

Where: Meet at the Culture Canopy

What: Come celebrate yourself with flags, ribbons, rainbows! All are welcome to join our ShambhaSpirit Troupes as they dance their way through downtown with our Attractions team performers and artists. Bring your best moves and make some noise in support of 2SLGTBQAI+ communities. Meet at the Culture Canopy, or join in en route!
