From the outskirts of London to global acclaim, Cameron Edwards and Joe Lenzie—the duo behind Sigma—have navigated a journey marked by number one hits as well as underground anthems that has cemented them as one of the most important acts in Drum and Bass and UK dance music. The pair met in a record shop in the 2000s whilst at Leeds University. Cam, a sociable club promoter with a passion for dark, cutting-edge drum and bass, and Joe, a scratch DJ champion with a background in classical violin, began producing tracks together. They soon caught the attention of key players in the drum and bass scene, releasing music on labels like DJ Zinc’s Bingo, Hospital Records & Breakbeat Kaos. This led to them picking up Best Breakthrough DJs at the Drum and Bass Arena awards and establishing themselves as an integral part of the genre. They broke through globally in 2014 with the multi-platinum single Nobody to Love, a euphoric rework of Kanye West’s “Bound 2”, that went to No.1 in the charts in the UK, New Zealand and Poland and became a defining track of the 2010s dance resurgence. A 2nd UK No.1 quickly followed with “Changing” featuring Paloma Faith. This success opened doors to massive festival stages and collaborations with A-List artists such as Rita Ora, Ella Henderson, Birdy & Labrinth. Sigma had arrived—and the drum and bass world would never be the same. However, Cam and Joe have always credited their love for the underground—from gritty jungle beats to the anthemic soundscapes of early rave culture—as the foundation of their artistry. By 2020, Sigma began to feel the pull of these origins and the release of London Sound (2024) marked a return to the genre that first inspired them. In 2025, Sigma left the major label that signed them way back in 2014 founding their very own label “DAY ONES” and becoming fully independent. Finally able to create on their own terms, they collaborated with legends like Dizzee Rascal and rising stars such as Julia Church and the result was Day One (2025). The album balanced nostalgia with forward-thinking innovation and enabled Sigma to forge a future that honoured their past. The success of Day One led to a performance on ITV’s Sunday Brunch, re-working Superstylin’ for the England Football Team and finally making their BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix Debut. On stage, Sigma are renowned for delivering performances that feel more like full-scale live experiences than DJ sets. Seamlessly blending their own chart-topping records with cutting-edge drum and bass, dancefloor, and bass music, they create high-energy journeys designed to keep crowds locked in from start to finish. Their sets are tightly crafted yet instinctive, reading the room and elevating the atmosphere with double drops, euphoric build-ups, and perfectly timed vocal moments. From clubs like London’s XOYO to mega venues like Drumsheds and the Royal Albert Hall to festivals such as Reading/Leeds, Tomorrowland and Glastonbury, Sigma turn any stage into a full-throttle, hands-in-the-air experience. Sigma enter 2026 independent, full of energy and ready to release the music they love.
