Since 2018, Charles Sahm, known as Player Dave, has evolved his artistic project from a heavier electronic sound to a refined dance-driven electronic sound that fuses garage and breakbeat rhythms with immersive, atmospheric textures. His tracks balance raw energy with introspection, offering a sound that feels equally at home on a dancefloor or in a reflective late-night listen. His release history is a story in its own. From his debut Album Where the Wind Blew me, to the breath of fresh air you find in his unique singles with vocals from himself, Georgie O’Brien, JAWNZA, & Elohim. Player Dave’s forthcoming music is nothing short of its own individual sound. Fresh off of direct support for Jacques Greene & Nosaj Things Tour, Player Dave is set to headline multiple standalone shows across the US. Over the years, Player Dave has played numerous headline shows at notable venues like Elsewhere in New York, The Ground in Miami, Spin in San Diego, and more, and has shared festival lineups with artists like Joy Orbison, Sammy Virji, Sara Landry, Skee Mask, and many alike in the experimental dance lane. With festival appearances at Coachella, Hard Summer, iii points, Okeechobee, EDSEA, Bass Coast, Shambhala, and other multi-genre festival lineups, Player Dave has stood out on a ROS with his range in his musical style. Additionally, Player Dave launched Daisy Chain Recordings three years ago, a label and party series showcasing some of the best eclectic club music in the U.S. This year, Daisy Chain Recordings hosted a full label takeover at Lightning in a Bottle, marking Player Dave’s third appearance at the festival. This focus on aligning with the brand’s vision ensures that every performance is meaningful and represents a dedication to quality and tastefulness in the music scene.
