Average Citizens are a Vancouver-based coupled DJ duo known for their high-energy sets and undeniable connection to the dance floor. Crafting a genre-blurring sound that blends the bounce of Bass House, the swing of UKG, and a touch of Hip-Hop swagger, they deliver playful, driving sets built on fast mixing, high kicks, and dynamic crowd interaction that transform dance floors into wild, communal celebrations. As fully independent artists, they’ve built their project from the ground up, show by show, city by city. They performed over 40 shows across Canada this past year, selling out multiple headline dates and expanding into new markets including Toronto, Arizona, and Miami Music Week. Their music consistently tops charts on Beatport, earning support from global names like David Guetta, Don Diablo, and AC Slater, along with radio play on Insomniac Radio, Rinse FM, and Diplo’s Revolution. They’ve also been named a rising artist by DJ Mag. Deeply rooted in the underground, Average Citizens have grown a loyal following through consistency, authenticity, and a genuine love for the community. Their Shambhala sets, in particular, hold a special place in their journey. This will be their third time performing at the festival, and it’s something they prepare for all year. Every detail is intentional, every moment considered. It’s their chance to give back to a community that has played a major role in shaping who they are as artists. Above all, Average Citizens operate by a simple motto, one that becomes obvious the moment they take the stage :: whoever has the most fun wins!
