Bits & Keys' and Love Prema

Bits & Keys' is jewellery made from bits and pieces of upcycled and recycled other stuff. Their themes often include the nerdy, the whimsical, and the creepy (occasionally simultaneously) and almost all of their wearable art can be customized on the spot so the pieces match the person. Equally exciting is their line of sassy and nerdy cross-stitch wall art and catnip pillows by the amazing @missstitched, who transforms an ancient feminine art medium into a modern feminist nerd platform with wall art and cat nip pillows. Erica Krutzen (Loveprema) designs and works with seamstresses and other local artists to create her beautiful repurposed denim one-offs, lavishly embellished in classic festival style with Indonesian and Indian-sourced embroideries, lace and appliques, hand-dyed and hand-painted. Additionally, her hooded ikat vests and jackets for men and women, one-of-a-kind pieces, yoga line and jewellery are ever-evolving into new whimsical and unique wares. Each piece tells a story, wearable art that speaks to the person that chooses them. All of the products in our booth are lovingly handmade locally in BC.

Carly Campbell

Since 2018, Carly has been training in the aerial arts, specifically in aerial hammock A.K.A aerial sling. But her journey as a performer started back in 2012, where she lit up the stage as an LED hula hoop performer in many Vancouver clubs and events and some BC music festivals.

In 2019, the magic truly took flight when Carly made her appearance at Shambhala's Living Room Stage for the first time on her aerial hammock. Suspended in the trees she captivated the audience with her unique take on her aerial hammock known to her more as aerial dancing. It was a moment to remember!

When she's not soaring through the sky, Carly's hands are busy crafting her own performance outfits, adding a touch of her unique style to every performance. She says,  the purpose of this is to enhance what the event organizers and other artist’s had visioned for their show/set so that they would all resemble one cohesive piece of art.

Shambhala holds a special place in Carly's heart, as she hasn't missed a single year since her first Sbamabhala experience in 2011. Surrounded by a sea of talent, she feels blessed and grateful to share the stage with such amazing artists, soaking in the energy and creativity of this festival we call home.

In her journey from co-owning the performance company, Evoke Management, in Vancouver to embarking on a solo path, Carly's love for performance shines through in every act. Catch her in action, spreading the Shamba-love in the air and sharing with us her passion for the art of aerials!

Flow Mystica has been spreading her wings. Orbitaa's creative brain can transform a simple thought into a gem. Naturally searching for new ways to express herself, the world of dance and flow arts became a nest for her. Do what you love; is what you'll hear her say.

She started her flow journey 4 years ago, using silk fans, an extension of her fluidity. Diving in quickly; She has since fallen in love with hula-hooping, fire spinning and more! Her flow toy collection offers a lot of variety and colors.

Creating illusion shapes, playing with geometry and movement art, Orbitaa's performances are filled with power and witchery. The dancer's flow translates her warrior spirit with a gentle touch. Complementing her movements with complex costumes and body paint, she brings on stage a different character every time, straight out of another universe. True to herself, every step she takes is felt from within.

You can catch her performing at various events around her home town of Whitehorse Yukon. Partly with the Yukon Circus Society, The Gnomes at Night Production Group, and Paradise Music Festival. Most recently, she extended her reach all the way up in Alaska, at Sacred Acre Music festival.

Astro Herbalism

Join medical herbalist and hermetic practitioner Lux for a journey through the cosmos and the terrestrial treasures. Astroherbalism is a practice that is thousands of years old, joining the arts of astrology and herbalism. Using the concept of “as above, so below” we see how the cosmological patterns mirror the patterns in nature. Learn about the planets, zodiac signs and their corresponding plants. We will also touch on how to use this practice for your own astrology chart to balance your mind / body / spirit.

Lux (they/them) is a medically trained  herbalist, medicine maker, ritualist and hermetic practitioner. Their passion for plants and nature has been present since childhood; ultimately leading them to study medicine, entheogens, and ceremonial arts. Over the last decade Lux has immersed themselves in mystery school studies and created a bridge between the scientific and spiritual practices. Lux specializes in menstrual care, womb healing, mental health and digestive disorders. You can also find them hosting classes and ceremonies in the community, it is one of their greatest joys to come together in healing and celebration. In their down time you can find them enjoying nature, hot springs and finding more ways to create beauty in the world.

Becoming E(art)h and Tiny Tree Totems

Danielle will be roving for 1 to 1 mini wellbeing connections, and leads two themed workshops too, at both our Riverside and Crafter’s Collective Gazebos locations. In Tiny Tree Totems, participants walk and talk, and do a rubbing of bark with crayons on paper. Guests share observations and reflections, then embellish their rubbing as a souvenir of their Shambhala experience. Becoming E(art)h is where you’ll create art from the natural elements on the farm, and consider how you too leave your mark on the world (physically, emotionally, energetically). A mandala-like group-devised nature collage will be created…and then it goes back to the earth.

Church Of Central Raving

Start your Shambhala off right and join us for the raviest church service on the planet!
At C.O.C.R. We share practical tips to help you party smarter, dole out ancient rave wisdom and play dope music from every genre. This wildly irreverent and randomly fun “church service” is meant for everyone: first timers and festival fiends alike.  It is designed in a format that is friendly for those of us with very limited attention spans. The service includes variety show type performances, hilarious comedy bits and rave oriented sermons mixed with soulful sounds and all the best beats.

The sweetest part of this wacky workshop is that THERE ARE NO RULES!  You can do whatever you want, as long as you do it with love: come and go as you please, join in and dance your ass off, share your own inspirations or just stand back and observe the hilarity and chaos that ensues.
All Praise the Rave!

Kali Flow Yoga - Danya Buac

Danya draws inspiration from daily visits to her mat and the invaluable knowledge passed on from her own wonderful gurus. Her studies in India, Nepal, Canada, and USA lead her path to accreditation as a 500RYT with Yoga Alliance. She pays homage to the deeply rich wisdom of the ancient hatha, tantric, and vinyasa ashtanga yoga lineages while incorporating a modern twist of alignment and creative sequencing. Danya’s classes are invitations to promote a deeper connection to Self and the inner cosmic hum.

Danya spent a decade working in the forestry industry in northern Canada. Through her education and experience in the wild she came to understand the need for connection with the natural world and sacred earth. Leaving the chaos of modern life, she escaped into the fringes of society to connect with the inner stillness. Danya found a radical path of healing amidst nature that she weaves through her offerings.

From a lense of trauma informed teachings and conscious communication, Danya guides a variety of classes and changes the recipe to fit every practitioner’s needs. She believes that the yoga path offers boundless freedom to meet every being exactly where they are. Each guidance presented by her is an opportunity to un-plug and re-connect. Danya empowers practitioners to root and ground themselves so they too may rise.

From her own pre and post natal journey, Danya found extraordinary empowerment. Now, while raising her son, she is dedicated to passing on this invaluable knowledge to the next generation. Danya is a Registered Prenatal Yoga Teacher (RPYT) and Registered Children’s Yoga Teacher (RCYT). She offers birth empowerment classes, doula services, and trauma informed youth workshops. Danya shares this wisdom with the hopes of shifting the world one birth at a time.

Danya uses yoga and elemental weaving as somatic embodiment practices to establish harmony in body, mind, and soul. With deep respect to the traditional yoga foundations, Danya guides individuals to wellbeing by catering to each person’s unique intention. Embark on this path with Danya to connect with your most natural authentic self and step into your innate potential.

Adam One

Performing at The Grove Stage

Adam One’s paintings derive from a deep understanding of form and function, and an active interest in the questions of human existence through spiritual evolution. His pieces are born from the subconscious and are extremely chaotic amalgamations of archetypal subjects and stories. Meant to be ever changing and revealing, his pieces beckon one’s mind to question the world around, and to look at everything with a new perspective. Philosophically and Spiritually, Adam finds inspiration in the symbols of Theosophy, Cosmogony, Alchemy, Hermeticism and Gnosticism. It is from this groundwork that he constructs his own view of the cosmos, working ancient concepts into future imaginings.
