Ticket Info

Tickets for the 22nd Annual Shambhala Music Festival are now available online. We have updated our ticket policy, so please read the following carefully. Shambhala Music Festival is now offering ONLY electronic tickets. You can still purchase a 2019 Collectable Hologram as a keepsake, these will be mailed in the spring of 2019.

In the days following your purchase you will be emailed a link to create a user profile with us. Your profile will give you the capability to share important information with us, will give you access to review your order, make changes to your order, transfer your tickets and much more! You will need to lock your legal name to your ticket once the option is available closer to the festival (mid July). Additional fees will apply if you wish to transfer your ticket after you have locked your name to your ticket.

Once your name has been locked to your ticket, you will need to print it out and bring it with you. Please note the name on your ticket needs to match your ID, no exceptions. Please email sales@shambhalamusicfestival.com if you have any questions about your order.

ShambhaLodging

Shambhalodging offers the ultimate festival experience: comfort, convenience, shade. One of our five different packages is sure to be exactly the festival camping experience you’re looking for.

Each Shambhalodging campsite is levelled and landscaped to ensure a comfortable, shady place to enjoy your Shambhala experience. The camp zone is a four to five minute walk to the downtown area. Tucked away from the excitement of the festival, it offers a bit of peace and tranquility, while still being located close to the action. Our Lodging hosts are available 24 hours a day during the festival to ensure you have an enjoyable and safe experience.

CAMPSITE ONLY

BYOTent. Our Campsite Only package includes a manicured 10’ x 10’ campsite where you can set up your own tent. Please check the size of your tent before you come to the festival. It will need to fit within a 10’ x 10’ space. All campsites are approximately 120 square feet (10’x10′) with slight variation from site to site. Campsite only guests will also enjoy priority processing through the gate and waived early entry fees for two people.

BASSics

Forget hauling a tent and air mattress and make camping easy with the BASSics package. You’ll arrive to a tent and queen size air mattress all set up for you in a shady 10x10 campsite. Simply bring your pillows and bedding. No room to pack bedding? No problem. Simply add the bedding upgrade during the checkout process. 

BASSics tents measure 9’x9′ with a peak height of 4’7. All campsites are approximately 120 square feet (10’x10′) with a slight variation from site to site. BASSics guests will also enjoy priority processing through the gate and waived early entry fees for two people.

FANCY PANTS

Experience the party of a lifetime in style with the Fancy Pants package. Enjoy a full camp setup in a luxurious 10’ x 12’ canvas tent on a raised deck platform. This package includes all the upgrades: a deluxe queen size air mattress, bedding (pillows, sheets, comforter), two lawn chairs, 45L cooler, water jug, complimentary showers, priority processing through the gate and waived early entry fees for two people.

*THE ALL NEW* BELLE-LUXE

The Belle-Luxe package offers the perfect blend of space and comfort. These massive 5 metre diameter bell tents provide lots of wiggle room for group camping. Made of highly breathable natural cotton canvas, they are the embodiment of glamping. Belle-Luxe is designed for use by 4 people. 

The package includes 2 queen size air beds and all the upgrades: bedding (pillows, sheets and comforters), water jug, 45L cooler, 4 lawn chairs, a special Belle-Luxe gift pack, complimentary showers, priority processing through the gate and waived early entry fees for two people.

CENTRAL PARK

As close to Downtown you can get. Central Park offers RV site hookups right in the middle of everything outside downtown Shambhala. Bring your RV / Trailer and enjoy your 15’ x 50’ campsite, 30 amps of power, daily freshwater refill and sani-dump. These campsites offer plenty of room for your RV / trailer, friends’ tents, and campsite furniture. Express Entry and waived early entry fees for up to 4 people.

Central Park is very close to the stages, so earplugs are recommended for your downtime. Stages have 15-20 hours of musical programming per day.

How can I pay for tickets?

You can buy tickets using a valid credit card or Paypal account.

When do tickets go on sale for next year?

Tickets for Shambhala 2020 go on sale TBA.

What is included in my ticket? When can I arrive?

Entry on Friday, August 9th at 8am (PST), free tenting and free parking are included with all General Admission tickets ($+ taxes & fees).

There are options you may choose for additional fees to enhance your Shambhala Music Festival experience.

  • Upgrade and pay Early Entry fees which will be collected in cash as you enter and will vary depending on date of arrival; Tuesday, August 6th, Wednesday, August 7th or Thursday, August 8th.
  • Upgrade your parking to camp with your vehicle in Sunshine Campgrounds.
  • Upgrade your parking to camp with your camperized vehicle, RV, or Trailer in Starlight Campground.
  • Upgrade your camping with a ShambhaLodging package.

Please note that Lodging & Central Park RV upgrades can be purchased in advance. Early Entry and Parking upgrades are available on-site only. Parking upgrades are limited and are sold first-come, first-serve.

Did SMF get rid of home delivery and Will-Call delivery options?

Yes. All tickets are now Electronic that will either need to be printed or downloaded through our new online system prior to arrival. The option to print or download your Electronic ticket will be available starting on July 16th.

Can you ship the 2019 Collectable Hologram outside of Canada?

Yes! We are happy to announce we can ship these holographic keepsakes anywhere in the world.

What if I don’t have an email address? How will I receive my ticket?

Each ticket needs to be assigned to a unique email address. You will need to create an email address if you don’t have one already (plus come on! It’s 2018!)

When will I receive my Electronic ticket to print out and bring to the festival?

This option will be available through our new online system starting on July 16th. Printing or downloading your Electronic ticket permanently locks your name to the ticket meaning you’re the only one that can use it. No changes can be made to a ticket once it’s been printed or downloaded, so please do not do this unless you are 100% sure you’ll be attending the festival.

Is there a deadline to transfer tickets?

No, providing the ticket has been properly transferred prior to the new individual arriving to the festival. Once an Electronic ticket has been printed or downloaded, the name is locked to the ticket and no additional changes can be made after that. If there is a chance you may not be able to attend the festival, do not print or download your ticket.

Can tickets be transferred more than once?

Yes. Once a ticket has been transferred to your name, you will have the ability to transfer it again online through our new system. The only time a ticket cannot be transferred is once a name has been locked to it.

What if I show up with a ticket in someone else’s name?

You will be denied entry and will either need to leave the farm or track down a ticket that is still transferable, no exceptions. The name on the ticket MUST match the ID of the person using it at the festival.

Can I buy a ticket for a friend?

Yes! The tickets will be held under the original purchaser’s name until you properly transfer each ticket to each friend online through our new system.

If my friend & I are arriving together, can I lock my name to both tickets?

No. Each ticket needs a unique name and email address associated to it. Your friend would need to have their own ticket in their name.

If I can’t make it to the festival, can I return my ticket for a refund?

No, tickets are non-refundable. You may sell your ticket to someone else so they can use it. You will need to properly transfer the ticket to the new individual online through our new system.

Can I leave a ticket at the gate for a friend?

No. There will be no longer be Will-Call. The ticket must be properly transferred and assigned to your friend online through our new system prior to the festival.

Can I use a copy saved on my phone or another electronic device?

We prefer if you arrive with a printed copy, however, we are able to process ticket barcodes at the Gate from your phone or another electronic device.

Will there be tickets at the gate?

Once the festival has sold out, we do not offer tickets at the gate with the exception of Sunday-only tickets available for purchase only on the day of starting at 8 AM (PST). Quantities are limited and vary depending on the volume of guests leaving the property.

Can I buy a Day Pass?

Day passes may only be purchased on Sunday at the gate for $160 (cash only). You must have your government-issued ID.

What if I lose my wristband?

If your wristband comes loose or falls off, keep it safe! You must have both your Electronic ticket stub, ID and the damaged wristband to receive a replacement. No exceptions. Talk to the SMF Crew at the Info booth, they will help arrange an escort to replace your wristband. If you feel like your wristband is too loose or may fall off, be proactive and get it replaced before it happens. All replacement wristbands are issued at the Gate.

What is the re-entry policy?

Re-entry is $20 CAD per person, cash only. Payable upon return to the event. Please ensure you DO NOT remove or tamper with your wristband. Any tampered wristbands will be turned away at the Gate and asked to leave the site, no exceptions.

Will there be an unlimited quantity of parking upgrade decals?

What if I miss the deadline for online support from the ticketing department?

Each year come showtime, online ticket assistance ends. This means Shambhala Music festival is unable to assist guests with ticket inquiries via email. All ticket inquiries after this date will be dealt with in person at the festival, or via e-mail shortly after the festival is complete. Bring all the information you have regarding your order and it will be sorted it out at the gate. Also, check out our website and FAQs for helpful information.

Does my GA ticket include early entry into the festival?

No, your GA ticket will allow you into the festival grounds come Friday, August 9. Early entry is an upgrade of an additional fee which will depend on the day you choose to arrive; Tuesday, August 6th, Wednesday, August 7th or Thursday, August 8th.

Can Shambhala Music Festival help me resell my ticket after I have purchased it?

No, Shambhala Music Festival does not offer assistance in the reselling of tickets.

Is the Early Entry fee per person or per vehicle?

Early Entry fee is per person.

ELECTRONIC TICKETING SYSTEM FAQ

Where can I access my order online?

The link to our new online system is “https://portal.shambhalamusicfestival.com/”. You will need to log in using the email address associated with your 2019 order and click the “Reset or Create Password” button to generate your password.

What is the new online ticketing system?

Our new online ticketing system lets you manage your own order! You can easily view all your order items online, make changes to your contact information (address, phone number, upload your photo), transfer tickets & ShambhaLodging packages, print out your Electronic ticket and ShambhaLodging placard closer to the festival and much more!

How do I access the new online ticketing system?

Please visit our portal here and use the email address associated with your order. If it’s your first time accessing your order online, you will need to create a password by clicking “Reset or Create Password”

How do I transfer tickets or ShambhaLodging packages?

You can easily transfer some or all of the items on your order by clicking the purple “Start a Transfer Button”. This will prompt you to fill in the new individual’s legal name, email address and phone number. Please carefully review the items you are transferring before completing the transfer. Transfers cannot be undone.

What happens once a transfer is complete?

Once a transfer has taken place, both the original purchaser and the new individual will receive an official transfer receipt from SMF. This email will contain information on how the new individual can log into the online ticketing system to access their new tickets or ShambhaLodging packages. Once transferred, those items are removed from the original purchaser’s account.

Can I claim my 5 tickets for me and my friends if we are arriving together?

No. Each ticket must be associated with a unique name and email address. If you have purchased multiple tickets, you will need to transfer each one to the person using it at the festival. If you have an extra ticket but are unsure who will be using it at the festival, you can wait to transfer it.

Can a ticket be transferred more than once?

Yes. Tickets can be transferred multiple times. Once a ticket has been printed, the name is locked to the ticket and no additional changes can be made after that. If you’re unsure if you will be attending the festival, please do not print your ticket. Printing Electronic tickets is available starting on July 16th.

How do I lock my name to my Electronic ticket if I’m 100% sure I’ll be using it at the festival?

Printing or downloading your Electronic ticket permanently locks your name to it. This will be available through our online system starting on July 16th. No changes can be made to the ticket after that, so use caution. The legal name on the ticket must match the government issued photo ID of the individual using it at the festival.

Can transfers be reversed?

No. Once any items have been transferred off your order you no longer have access to those items and the transfer cannot be undone. So please use extreme caution.

What if I forgot my password?

Click the “Reset or Create Password” button and a password reset email will be sent to you. Please check your junk mail/ spam folder if this email does not pop up in your inbox.

Why can’t I click the “Print Ticket” or “Print Lodging” buttons?

The option to print your ticket and/or ShambhaLodging placard isn’t available until July 16th.

How can I add tickets or ShambhaLodging packages to my order?

You will need to visit our sales page on our website to add any tickets or ShambhaLodging packages to your existing order.

I am trying to reset/create my password by keep getting a “password reset key invalid’ error message.

The 'reset key invalid' error code will generally pop up for two different reasons. 1) You clicked the password reset button more than once and are not using the most recent link we have sent you. If clicked more than once, it invalidates the previous links and only the most current one will work. 2) You are copy and pasting the link in the email instead of clicking the link directly. Also, trying from a different device seems to help people that are running into the same issue.

I am logging into the new system for the first time but don’t remember previously creating a password?

If it’s your first time accessing our new online system, you will not have a password and will need to create one by clicking the “Reset or Create Password” button. A password reset link will be emailed to you.

ShambhaLodging FAQ

Can I park mine & my guest's vehicle in the ShambhaLodging parking lot if we arrive separately?

No. You are only permitted to have one vehicle in the ShambhaLodging parking lot. All additional vehicles can be parked in Free Parking.

When I can expect to receive my ShambhaLodging placard?

ShambhaLodging placards will be available to print through our new online system starting on July 16th. It’s very important it’s printed and placed on your dashboard prior to arriving on the festival grounds.

Can I have just tents in a Central Park campsite?

Yes! You can do whatever you want within your 15' x 50' space.

Can I upgrade my ShambhaLodging package once purchased?

Yes, providing we aren’t sold out. Please email lodging@shambhalamusicfestival.com from the email address associated with your order (including your Order ID #) and we will invoice for you for the difference in pricing.

Are Shambhalodging packages refundable?

No. As per our terms and conditions, all sales are final. If you can no longer attend the festival, you are responsible for passing along the package to a friend or selling it. You can transfer ownership of the package through our new online system.

What if I can’t go? Can I transfer my Shambhalodging package to someone else?

Yes, you can transfer your ShambhaLodging package to a new individual providing you haven’t printed out our ShambhaLodging placard yet. All ticket and ShambhaLodging transfers need to be done through our new online system.

Once you have created a password and logged in, click the “Start a Transfer” button and enter in all the contact information of the individual you’re transferring the package to. ** Please ensure all information is correct as a transfer cannot be undone and permanently removes the item from your account.

Are tickets included in my ShambhaLodging Package?

No. Tickets must be purchased separately. You may purchase them here.

Can I transfer my ShambhaLodging package after I have printed my placard?

No. No changes can be made to a ShambhaLodging reservation once the placard has been printed. Do not print your placard if you’re not 100% sure you will be attending the festival.

How do I know my ShambhaLodging transfer was successful?

Both parties will receive a transfer receipt/confirmation from us once the transfer has gone through. This receipt will include information for the new individual regarding how they can access their order. Please check your junk mail/ spam folders if it does not appear in your inbox.

Does the new online system facilitate the funds aspect of the third-party transfer?

No. Our online system only facilitates the transferring of tickets and ShambhaLodging packages but not payment. Payment needs to be figured out by both parties involved. Please use extreme caution as a transfer cannot be undone.

Do you take group reservations so my friends can have our sites together?

Yes! Please email lodging@shambhalamusicfestival.com the name, email address and Order ID # associated with each Lodging package so we can add the group reservation into our system. Please note we can only take reservations for the same package type.
