Early Entry

Want to secure a great camp spot close to the stages and beat the rush? Guests are welcome to arrive on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday, but will be subject to an additional fee at the rates below. Early Admission is collected in cash as you enter into the festival, and cannot be purchased in advance.

This year, Shambhala Music Festival is dropping the daily Early Entry rate to $50 per day as well as adding an extra day. Guests are now welcome to arrive on the farm on Tuesday to avoid the mad rush of thousands of people running through the gates all at once. You can now enjoy arriving even earlier to beat the rush, get set-up and once settled, chill out by the pristine Salmo River as you await the six stages come to life.

* Early Entry pricing offsets the costs of additional staffing and service levels for the extra festival days (including the recent extension of Monday through Tuesday morning post-show to allow people a good night’s sleep on Monday).  All GA Tickets include admission on Friday August 10th at 8:00 AM (PST) for no additional fee.

Camping and Parking

All GA tickets include tent camping and parking in our Free Parking Lot. We encourage our guests to drop off their gear at our drop zone and leave their vehicles in our Free Parking lot.

The festival is held on a working farm; the less cars on the cows’ grazing fields, the better. Free Parking is separate from the campgrounds, adjacent to the Sunshine Camp Zone. Guests who choose to use Free Parking have access to the forested, shaded walk-in Camp Zone called Metta Camp.

If you’d like to camp with your vehicle, RV, or trailer, you’ll need to buy either a Sunshine or Starlight car camping decal on-site upon arrival with cash only. Two camp zones allow for vehicle camping: Sunshine and Starlight. *Only camperized vehicles that guests are sleeping in will be permitted in Starlight*

*Please note: Vehicle camping decals are only available on-site and are sold on a first-come, first-serve basis. There is no guarantee that you will be able to purchase a parking pass for your desired camp zone as space is limited. Decals must be applied to the vehicle by an authorized Shambhala representative at the time of purchase. No advance sales of vehicle decals are permitted.


Shambha-Abled  is located near Downtown Shambhala. Power access is available for charging motorized wheelchairs or operating other medical devices. For further information, or inquiries into our ShambhaAbled campground, contact Deadline for ShambhaAbled registrations is July 1st, 2018.

Shambhalodging offers the ultimate festival experience: comfort, convenience, shade. One of our five different packages is sure to be exactly the festival camping experience you’re looking for.

Each Shambhalodging campsite is levelled and landscaped to ensure a comfortable, shady place to enjoy your Shambhala experience. The camp zone is a four to five minute walk to the downtown area. Tucked away from the excitement of the festival, it offers a bit of peace and tranquility, while still being located close to the action. Our Lodging hosts are available 24 hours a day during the festival to ensure you have an enjoyable and safe experience.

All Lodging packages are based on double occupancy, with the exception of Belle-Luxe (can accommodate four people) and Central Park (can accommodate however many people fit in the allotted space).

BYOTent. Our Campsite Only package includes a manicured 10’ x 10’ campsite where you can set up your own tent. Check the size of your tent before you come to the festival. It will need to fit within a 10’ x 10’ space.

All campsites are approximately 120 square feet (10’x10′) with slight variation from site to site.

Forget hauling in a tent and air mattress. Make camping easy with the BASSics package. You’ll arrive to a tent and air mattress all set up for you in a shady 10x10 campsite. Just bring your pillows and bedding. No room to pack bedding? No problem. Simply add the bedding upgrade during checkout.

BASSics tents measure 9’x9′ with a peak height of 4’7. All campsites are approximately 120 square feet (10’x10′) with a slight variation from site to site.

Experience the party of a lifetime in style with Fancy Pants. Enjoy a full camp setup in a luxurious 10’ x 12’ canvas tent on a raised deck platform. This package includes all the upgrades: a deluxe air mattress, bedding, two lawn chairs, cooler, water jug, free showers, and parking directly at your campsite.

The brand new Belle-Luxe package offers the perfect blend of space and comfort. These massive 5 metre diameter bell tents provide lots of wiggle room for group camping. Made of highly breathable natural cotton canvas, they are the embodiment of glamping. Belle-Luxe is designed for use by 4 people.

The package includes 2 queen size air beds and all the upgrades: bedding, pillows, water jug, and cooler, 4 lawn chairs, a special Belle-Luxe gift pack, complimentary showers, priority processing through the gate and complimentary early entry for two people.

As close to Downtown you can get. Central Park offers RV site hookups right in the middle of everything outside downtown Shambhala. Bring your RV / Trailer and enjoy your 15’ x 50’ campsite, 30 amps of power, daily freshwater refill and sani-dump. These campsites offer plenty of room for your RV / trailer, friends’ tents, and campsite furniture. Express Entry and waived early entry fees for up to 4 people.

Central Park is very close to the stages, so earplugs are recommended for your downtime. Stages have 15-20 hours of musical programming per day.

How can I pay for tickets?

You can buy tickets using a valid credit card or Paypal account.

What is included in my ticket? When can I arrive?

Entry on Friday, August 8th at 8am, free tenting and free parking are included with all General Admission tickets ($420+ taxes & fees).

You may choose to upgrade your Shambhala Experience in a number of ways for additional fees.

  • Upgrade to Early Entry to arrive Tuesday August 7th, Wednesday, August 8th or Thursday, August 9th.
  • Upgrade your parking to camp with your vehicle in Sunshine or Starlight Campgrounds.
  • Upgrade your camping with a ShambhaLodging site.

Lodging & Central Park RV upgrades can be purchased in advance. Early Entry and Parking upgrades are available on-site only. Parking upgrades are limited and are sold first-come, first-served.

Can I buy a ticket for a friend?

Yes. If you selected home delivery, physical tickets will be shipped only to the address associated with the order. However, Will Call and Electronic tickets will be held under the original purchasers’ name. If you are not travelling with the friend you have purchased the ticket for, see the transfer procedures for your delivery method bel.

Do you ship to the US?

No, physical tickets can only be shipped to a Canadian address. US and International customers who wish to receive hard copy tickets should select Will Call as their delivery method.

What if my ticket is damaged, lost or stolen?

Lost or stolen tickets cannot be replaced or refunded. Once your ticket is successfully delivered, it is your responsibility. If you are worried about your ticket being lost or stolen, we suggest you register your ticket at Will Call instead of having it shipped.

If your ticket has been damaged or destroyed, contact us at as soon as possible. We cannot issue refunds but we may be able to issue a replacement if you’re able to send the original damaged ticket back to us. We look into each case of damaged or destroyed tickets individually.

Can I switch my ticket delivery method after ordering?

Absolutely. Here are the details.

  • You may switch to home delivery if you have a Canadian shipping address.
  • Additional shipping / processing costs apply when upgrading from Electronic to Home Delivery
  • Anyone can switch to Will-Call. Additional fees will apply if you previously selected Electronic delivery. There is no fee if switching from Home delivery.
  • You cannot change to Electronic Tickets if your order has already shipped
  • Deadline for changing delivery method is June 24, 2018.

To initiate a change to your delivery method, contact with your PayPal transaction ID.

If I can’t make it to the festival, can I return my ticket for a refund?

Tickets are non-refundable. You may sell your ticket to someone else so they can use it. With physical tickets, this is very straightforward. Please see the sections on Will Call and Electronic Tickets below for instructions on transferring these ticket types.

I want to purchase a ticket from someone online. Can you tell me if a ticket I found is valid?

No,  Shambhala Music Festival cannot guarantee the validity of tickets bought from 3rd parties (on Kijiji, Craigslist or other ticket resellers) nor can we release any information about the order. Seller and buyer assume all risks of transfer. Be cautious.

Will I get to keep my holographic ticket?

Yes! Your holographic ticket is a keepsake. After we scan your ticket at the gate, we give it right back to you. The only exception to this is if you have chosen electronic ticket delivery.

Can I leave a ticket at the gate for a friend?

Yes – you can register a ticket at Will Call for a friend to pick up for $10 CAD. You will need to provide the recipient's name as it appears on their government-issued photo ID.

Will there be tickets at the gate?

Once the festival has sold out, we do not offer tickets at the gate with the exception of Sunday-only tickets available for purchase only on the day of starting at 8 AM (PST). Quantities are limited and vary depending on the volume of guests leaving the property.

Can I buy a Day Pass?

Yes, only for Sunday, August 12th, 2018. We do not pre-sell Sunday tickets.

Sunday passes can be purchased at the Gate day of. Quantities are limited and vary depending on the volume of guests leaving the property. The Sunday pass price for 2018 is $160 CAD. Join us for the last magical night of Shambhala!

What if I lose my wristband?

If your wristband comes loose or falls off, keep it safe. You must have both your ticket AND the damaged wristband to receive a replacement. Talk to the SMF Crew at the Info booth, they will help arrange an escort to replace your wristband. If you feel like your wristband is too loose or may fall off, be proactive and get it replaced before it happens.

What is the re-entry policy?

Re-entry is $20 CAD per person, per re-entry. Payable upon return to the event.

When do tickets go on sale for next year?

Tickets for Shambhala 2019 go on sale September 1st, 2018.


What is Will Call?

Will Call tickets are picked up at the festival from the Reception building near the gate upon arrival. This delivery type is most often used by US & International guests, but may also be used by Canadian guests who wish to keep their tickets in a safe place until the festival. All you need to do is print your order confirmation and bring 2 pieces of valid ID.

How do I pick up my ticket from Will Call?

To pick up your Will Call ticket you’ll need:

  • Your valid government issued photo ID
  • A second supporting piece of ID, like a credit, health card, passport, etc; anything with your name and signature
  • A copy of your transaction receipt (that confirmation you get from Paypal after you place your order)
Can I transfer my Will Call ticket to someone else?

Yes. To initiate the transfer, contact our Sales Manager to request a Will-Call Transfer Form. The deadline for transfers is July 15, 2018. Orders for multiple tickets must be transferred in full to one individual, they cannot be broken down.

Transfer requests must be initiated by the original purchaser using the email address associated with the original order.

When will I get my Electronic Tickets and how do I claim them?

Electronic Tickets are delivered to the email associated with your order in July 2018. You will receive detailed instructions on how to claim your tickets at this time.

Claim with caution! Once claimed, electronic tickets are non-transferable and are non-refundable. If you think you may have to sell your ticket, do not claim it in your name.

Can I use a copy saved to my phone or other electronic device?

No, we are only able to process printed tickets at the main gate.

How can I claim my tickets if I don't have access to the email address used to make the original purchase?

We are unable to change the email address associated with your order. Please contact if you are experiencing this problem. Electronic tickets cannot be picked up from Will-Call.

Can I sell an Electronic Ticket? Can I buy someone else’s Electronic Ticket?

Yes, but only if it has not already been claimed in another individual’s name. Once claimed, electronic tickets are non-transferable and are non-refundable.

To sell an electronic ticket, the original purchaser will follow the same steps that will be emailed in July, however, instead of claiming it in your own name, you will register the ticket in the name of the person purchasing it from you. You will then forward the claimed barcoded ticket to the new purchaser so they can print it out and bring it to the festival.

Take care to correctly spell the name of the new purchaser. The name on the claimed electronic ticket must match the ID of the person using it.

Electronic tickets are for single use entry only. If duplicated, only the first entry scanned at the gate will be allowed access to the festival. Shambhala Music Festival does not guarantee any third-party transactions. Seller and buyer assume all risks of transfer. We encourage all ticket sellers and buyers to exercise extreme caution.


Will I get a holographic ticket keepsake?

Contact if you would like to change to Home Delivery in order to get a holographic ticket.


What classifies as an oversize vehicle?

An oversize vehicle is defined as any vehicle that holds 8+ passengers or has a larger footprint than a full-size truck. Please note that most Winnebagos, larger camper-vans, and trailers are considered oversized.

How quickly do car camping decals sell out?

Although Sunshine decals are generally available all weekend, Starlight decals usually sell out quite quickly.

Can crew members purchase car camping decals?

Shambhala Crew members are not permitted to purchase a Starlight decal for their vehicle, unless they are sleeping in it.

Can my friends camp with me in the Sunshine or Starlight zone if they don’t have a decal?

YES. Everybody is allowed to set up a tent in the Sunshine or Starlight zones. A decal is only required if they wish to camp with their vehicle, RV, or trailer.

Can I bring my RV? Do you have hookups?

Yes, you can bring an RV.

All General Admission RVs & Trailers require an Oversize Vehicle Parking Pass upgrade for one of our 2 Park & Camp Zones – Sunshine or Starlight. Parking Passes are not pre-sold and must be purchased upon arrival. RVs and Trailers cannot be parked in Free Parking. Click here for more information about Parking upgrades.

Spacious 15x50 reserved RV camping with all the amenities can be purchased in advance with the Central Park Lodging Package.

No, tickets are sold separately from all ShambhaLodging Packages. You can purchase tickets at

Do I have to purchase a ShambhaLodging package to camp?

No, all General Admission tickets include free tent camping. ShambhaLodging packages are an optional upgrade.

When can I arrive?

8:00 AM on Wednesday, August 8th, 2018. If you arrive before 8:00 AM on Wednesday, August 8th, 2018, we can’t guarantee you’ll be directed to the Express Lane and you may end up stuck waiting in a very long line.

Can I reserve sites next to my other friends in ShambhaLodging?

Yes, we can accommodate group reservations in advance. Please reach out to our ShambhaLodging Manager at as soon as your group has made their ShambhaLodging purchases. Make sure that you’ve all purchased the same package. Each package has its own section in the ShambhaLodging Campground.

Can I have more than two people in my ShambhaLodging camp?

All ShambhaLodging spaces are designed for double occupancy, with the exception of Belle-Luxe and Central Park.

Belle-Luxe can accommodate up to 4 people and Central park can accommodate however many friends and family fit into your 15’ x 50’ space. We recommend purchasing additional campsites if you wish to have more people in your party

Can I park my RV or Bus in the ShambhaLodging Parking Lot?

No, we do not have space to accommodate RVs, trailers, buses, U-Hauls or other oversized vehicles in the ShambhaLodging Parking Lot.

What happens after I’ve purchased my ShambhaLodging package?

Near the festival dates, we will email you a temporary ShambhaLodging placard and additional information about checking into ShambhaLodging.

Are ShambhaLodging packages refundable?

Lodging packages are non-refundable but may be transferred. The ShambhaLodging transfer deadline is July 9, 2018. To initiate the transfer process contact and include your PayPal transaction ID in the email.

Where is ShambhaLodging? How far is it to 'Downtown Shambhala'?

ShambhaLodging is on the edge of the festival grounds tucked into the forest. It’s about a 5-10 minute walk to ‘Downtown Shambhala’ and the stages depending on where your ShambhaLodging campsite is located.

What is Express Lane Entry?

The Express Lane begins at the top of the driveway when you enter into the holding lot. It does not allow you to skip the driveway. Once at the top of the driveway, you will be directed into our Express Lane. This expedited lane does not guarantee that there will be no lines, but you will have a significantly shorter wait time.

Can I set up an extra tent in ShambhaLodging?

No. Extra tents, domes, marquis shelters or other tent-like structures may not be set up in the ShambhaLodging area with the BASSics or Fancy Pants Packages. You can customize your campsite with upgrades including lawn chairs, coolers, bedding, and water jugs. You can add any of these to your order on the ShambhaLodging order page.

Can I personalize my camp?

Yes. We welcome tarps, hammocks, banners or signs and other decorations in all campsites as long as they don’t intrude into other ShambhaLodger’s space. If you’ve ordered the Campsite Only package, your camp is 100% DIY and you’re welcome to set up as many camping structures as you can fit in your space.

Can I bring food/beverages/chairs/a cooler into the ShambhaLodging campground?

Yes. You can bring any supplies or camping equipment you need to be comfortable as long as you’re not bringing any banned items. If you’re traveling by plane or just don’t have room to pack basic camping supplies, you can rent Camping Accessories from ShambhaLodging.

Can I bring a generator?

No, generators are not permitted in any of the campgrounds. There is no access to power in ShambhaLodging.

Can I bring my friends to my camp?

Absolutely. General Admission friends can come visit your camp. Just remember that friends who aren’t registered with ShambhaLodging cannot set up camp in the ShambhaLodging area.

Is ShambhaLodging accessible for persons with disabilities?

Please notify the ShambhaLodging Manager at if you would like to identify any health concerns or disabilities. We will make sure we reserve a campsite that is suitable to your needs.
