Tsuruda

Country: US

Los Angeles based producer Tsuruda is a classically trained musician who blends experimental hip-hop with avant-garde electronics. Today, he stands in the upper echelon of bass music culture including the beat scene and sound design with one of the most impressive bodies of work in independent electronic music. Tsuruda has self-released four full-length projects — ‘drumsand,’ ‘madness,’ ‘rawflavor’ and ‘RIP’ — in addition to his compilation series, ‘Internet Slaps.' His discography includes singles and EPs on labels like Team Supreme, Darker Than Wax, Deadbeats and 1985 Music, three full albums, plus remixes for Noisia, The Glitch Mob and more. In June '17, Tsuruda released ‘Move,’ his debut artist album, on Noisia’s VISION Recordings. He followed up with ‘Unlimited Data’ (Oct '18), his second artist album, released on Courteous Family, the Los Angeles collective he co-founded in 2014. His independently released ‘FUBAR’ EP (Oct '19), distributed by Alpha Pup, includes standout singles “Dragon of the Darkness Flame” and “Kimchi Crisis,'' followed by yet another distinguished full length album, ‘Siege’ (Jan ‘21). In 2023, Tsuruda released the four-track 'Deathwish' EP via Deadbeats. As an in-demand live act, Tsuruda is renowned for his mind-bending sets featuring a masterful blend of genres. In a music landscape dominated by industry plants and copycats, Tsuruda’s legacy was built to last - and he’s just getting started.
