2019 Terms and Conditions
Shambhala Music Festival is a 19+ event. YOU MUST BE 19+ to use this ticket, no exceptions. ID’s will be checked.
Government issued Photo ID is required for entry regardless of your age. Failure to present Photo ID proving your name and age will result in refused entry.
No exchange or refunds on tickets, including if the event is terminated early, cancelled due to extreme weather, forest fire, acts of nature, government regulation or other conditions beyond the control of Shambhala Music Festival Ltd. Please ensure that you will be able to attend the festival BEFORE purchasing your tickets.
You agree to keep your ticket safe from destruction, loss, or theft. Lost, destroyed, or stolen tickets will not be refunded or exchanged for any reason.
Shambhala Music Festival is held at Salmo River Ranch – 6km East of Salmo BC, Canada on Hwy #3 & #6
Festival guests arriving before 8:00 AM PST on Tues. August 6th, 2019 will not be allowed entrance onto the main festival grounds. Gates open at 8:00 AM PST sharp; fees roll over on a 24hr cycle. Guests parked on the highway will be towed at owner’s expense.
Those arriving on-site prior to Fri. August 9th, 2019 at 8AM will be charged an early entry fee that will vary depending on the day of arrival.
Your ticket is invalid if the barcode is duplicated, removed, or tampered with.
Participant agrees that he/she derives a material benefit from the event and/or participant’s involvement therein. By execution of this agreement, participant agrees and acknowledges that the event may involve activity, which may be potentially hazardous, and participant hereby assumes all risks associated with participating in the event, including, without limitation, falls, contact with other participants, the effects of weather and the condition of surfaces. Furthermore, participant expressly and unconditionally assumes all risks and dangers known or unknown, foreseen or unforeseen, and relating or incidental to participant’s involvement in the event and any activity associated therewith. Participant hereby releases, forever discharges and holds harmless the organizers, associated agents and facility owners from and against any and all claims, damages, liabilities, costs and expenses, including, but not limited to, death, personal injury or property damage of any kind or nature, arising out of or relating to participant’s involvement in the event and all activities associated therewith.
No lifeguard on duty. Enter the river at your own risk.
No digging permitted on the farm. Live electrical and telecommunications lines are buried throughout the property.
Tent pegs longer than 1ft are not permitted.
Your admission is subject to compliance with all laws and facility rules and regulations.
Ticket holder consents to reasonable examination & searches to ensure compliance with all provincial & federal laws, and facility rules & regulations.
NO ALCOHOL and ILLEGAL SUBSTANCES permitted on these premises; soliciting illegal substances will result in criminal charges.
BANNED ITEMS: anything that can be considered a weapon (incl. knives, staffs/bats, bows, hammers, axes, etc.), open flames (incl. tea lights, fireworks, flares, fire toys, etc.), fuel, generators, glass, non-biodegradable glitter, pets, drug paraphernalia, and any items public safety staff deem to pose a potential safety or security risk to any staff or guests. We are not required to maintain safekeeping of your possessions if they are determined to be banned items.
Shambhala is held in the wilderness of the BC Kootenay region. Please treat the land and yourself with the utmost respect and care. This is a working family farm – Leave No Trace; infractions are subject to garbage fines.
Unauthorized commercial vending is prohibited. Selling anything without written consent from Shambhala Music Festival Ltd. is prohibited and may result in removal from the festival grounds.
Use of images taken at Shambhala (other than for personal use) is prohibited without prior written consent by Shambhala Music Festival Ltd.
Your image may be captured in video or photographs without your consent and without compensation to be used in festival promotional materials.
You hereby appoint Shambhala Music Festival Ltd. As your representative to protect your intellectual property or privacy rights, recognizing that Shambhala Music Festival Ltd. has no obligation to take any such action.
Shambhala Music Festival Ltd. Reserves the right to make changes to the rules at any time. Updated rules will be posted to this web site.
Shambhalodging Terms & Conditions
All Lodging attendees MUST be 19 years of age or older and have valid ID. No exceptions.
Lodging packages do not include tickets to the festival. Each Lodging attendee must also have a valid ticket for entrance to the festival. Guests can access the site from Tuesday, August 6th, 2019 at 8:00 AM PST to Sunday, August 11th, 2019 at 11:59PM PST. Guests are welcome to stay until Tuesday, August 13th to get sleep prior to travel. Guests remaining onsite after 12:00 PM PST on Tuesday will be subject to removal from site by Security.
The BASSics camping package DOES NOT include bedding. Unless you have purchased bedding as a package upgrade, your package will come with a tent and air mattress ONLY. SMF is not responsible for providing guests with bedding if it is not pre-ordered. Please bring your own bedding.
Campsite Only purchasers MUST be able to fit their campsite within a 10ft. by 10ft. zone of space. Campsites that are larger than 100 square feet will incur additional charges, or may be removed from the lodging zone if additional sites are not available for sale. If you require additional spaces for your campsite, please contact our lodging department at firstname.lastname@example.org as we have double and triple lodging sites available.
ShambhaLodging guests agree to be fully liable for any damages to any Shambhala Music Festival property that is rented, loaned, or otherwise provided to them during the festival.
There will be on-site security, first aid stations, women’s safe space and other resources open at all times throughout the festival. ShambhaLodging Hosts will be able to connect guests with these services.
Shambhala Music Festival Ltd. (SMF) is not responsible for any items that are damaged, misplaced, lost or stolen. It is recommended you don’t bring valuable items or if you do, keep them locked in your car for safety.
All festival attendees are subject to search upon entry.
Confiscated items are considered forfeited upon entry. There is no guarantee of return. Please see the list of banned items on the SMF website.
Feel free to bring your own food and beverages into onsite camping. Refer to the FAQ and banned items information on the SMF website as to what is allowed and what is not.
ShambhaLodging adheres to the same policies as SMF in all regards.
Lodging attendees are expected to behave in a manner that is courteous to all other campers. SMF reserves the right to remove guests that cause a disturbance or participate in illegal activity from the festival grounds.
Please note: ShambhaLodging sites are assigned to the original purchaser. If you wish to transfer ownership of your ShambhaLodging package, appropriate steps are required to ensure a seamless transfer. Please see our guide to transferring a ShambhaLodging package on the SMF website.
Lodging attendees must abide by the details of their package;
Lodging attendees are not allowed to set up any additional shelters of any kind in the ShambhaLodging area.
Only guests registered with ShambhaLodging may camp in the ShambhaLodging area. Any persons found that are not registered will be removed from the area.
No refunds will be given for ShambhaLodging packages, however, our lodging manager will be happy to transfer your package to another person provided the request is made, by email, to email@example.com by July 8th, 2019. After July 8th, SMF is not responsible if outside reasons prevent your attendance at the festival or your participation in ShambhaLodging.
