“Shambhala was an incredible experience. It was one of my “dream” festivals that I hoped to play one day. The sense of community and connectedness there is unlike most festivals and it feels like everyone is there to escape reality and be themselves. I love festivals like that. ” – Dabin

What were your favourite moments from the festival this year?
Seeing that insane Camo & Krooked set was definitely a highlight. As a fan of drum & bass myself I never got the chance to see them, so I was super stoked I was able to catch them there. BTSM also killed it at the Pagoda Stage.

What part has Shambhala Music Festival played in your journey as an artist?
This was actually my first Shambhala! I’m hoping there will be more in the future as I’d love to come back! Shambhala reminded me to stay true to the music that I love and not to accommodate to what’s hot and in right now. I played a very melodic set and I was surprised at how many people showed up and enjoyed the set. It was a really special moment for me.

What is your favourite stage?
I think my jaw dropped when I saw the Village stage at night with all the lights. Such a beautiful stage. The Pagoda Stage I played at was amazing as well. Such a unique stage design, it was unlike anything I’ve ever seen. The crew there was very accommodating of the live elements and my visuals as well.

How does Shambhala compare to other festivals that you’ve played at?

I’m such a fan of festivals that take place in nature. It really feels like an escape from reality and a chance to disconnect from everyday life and to surround yourself with good vibes and good music. Shambhala is definitely up there as one of my favourite festivals I’ve ever played.
