Gemma Luna, is a self taught singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist living in the Kootenay region of central British Columbia.

Born in Kingston , New York, she started singing at age five, playing
guitar at fifteen, and picked up the flute and piano along the way as
her family moved into Canada and westward.

Over the years Gemma Luna has honed her musical craft at festivals,
clubs and cafes.She has collaborated with many musicians of varying
styles on projects ranging from folk, gypsy trance, hip hop, world
fusion and electronica. For the past five years she has worked and
performed with renowned electronic producer and Juno nominee Adham
Shaikh. Tracks of theirs have appeared on labels around the world such
as Dakini Records (Japan),Electronic Soundscapes (Greece), Chilltribe
Records(Norway), Celestial Dragon (Hong Kong), Water Music (USA),
Automatic Records (USA), and Sonicturtle Music (Canada). In addition,
Gemma Luna is also a core member of the Nelson based ambient hip hop
project, Greenseason.

Professionally trained in ballet and modern dance, Gemma Luna has
performed extensively as a sought after tribal bellydancer and fire
spinner at Events such as Shambhala Music Festival, The Starbelly Jam,
and a live broadcast of CBC’s Zed TV show. her captivating performances
are augmented by her self-styled costume, clothing and jewellery
creations, Shell Designs.
